Program Description
Prepare for the CompTIA Tech+ certification with training that builds both your knowledge and hands-on skills. You’ll practice real-world skills such as running Linux commands, configuring routers and DHCP servers, creating virtual machines, and using SQL for databases. Along the way, you’ll learn to identify security risks, apply solutions like encryption and VPNs, and ensure data continuity with backups and restore points.
This course covers hardware fundamentals, peripheral devices, and operating systems while also guiding you through software management, troubleshooting, and essential cloud and IoT concepts. By the end, you’ll be fully prepared to take the Tech+ exam with confidence.

Optional Volunteer Externship Opportunity
Learners who complete this program are eligible to participate in an optional volunteer externship opportunity with a local company/agency/organization whose work aligns with this area of study in order to gain valuable hands-on experience. As learners progress through their eLearning program, an Externship Coordinator will reach out to coordinate placement.
Note: Additional documentation including health records, immunizations, drug-screening, criminal background checks, etc. may be required by the externship facility.
